It is very easy to access to your Online Portal:
- Activate or create an user account (once only)
- Complete the 5-step first-time login procedures by creating user name and password (once only)
- Log-in your Online Portal using your user name and password

To enable you to enjoy the benefit of being a staff of Corporate Member, please create/activate your personal Online Portal and update your company information.
Starting from 27 September 2017, if you want to enrol for examinations, training course or events, you need to create an user account before enrolment. Once created, you can access to your personalised portal anytime and anywhere.
This may be caused by one of the following reasons:
- the first-time login procedure may not be properly carried out
- you have not created your user name and/or password
- you have not activated your account within 72 hours after the “first-time login link” email is sent to your registered email address
- your user name and/or password do not match with our record

No. Although both HKSI Institute Members and non-Members have their own personalised Online Portal once they have registered and activated their accounts, non-Members do not enjoy the special benefits offered to our members nor access to Member Only activities or information.
For non-Member, you can apply for individual or corporate membership by completing and submitting the application form together with the required supporting documents. Please click here for detailed Membership information and application procedures.

Yes. You can change or update your personal information, except your name, HKID / Passport information and date of birth, at any time via your personalised Online Portal under “Profile”.
Everyone who registers via your Online Portal will receive a personalised QR code. You do not need to print the confirmation email. You only need to login to your Online Portal through your mobile device and show your personalised QR code at the training/event's registration counter.

Yes. You can select multiple activities and save into the cart. You however need to complete the checkout process within 15 minutes. If the checkout process exceeds the time limit, you will have to re-submit the enrolment of all the activities in which you are interested
Online Portal only allows for individual enrolment so that each individual’s activity records can be kept and retrieved.
It is recommended all interested individuals should create and activate his/her Online Portal account.
All the examinations run by HKSI Institute, except the Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM) Examination (first time enrol), are available for enrolment through my Online Portal.
If you plan to enrol for the CIWM Examination (first time enrol), please submit the enrolment form to us in person (during counter opening hours) or by post before enrolment deadline which can be found in our website “Qualification".
Yes. You can submit the enrolment form(s) during counter opening hours. We will process your application within four working days.
We however cannot guarantee your seat should you submit your form in person. We encourage you to enrol via the your Online Portal as you will receive the registration confirmation immediately.

4. Where can I download the examination enrolment form?
You can download the form from our website.
Commencing 1 April 2018, we will charge an administration fee of HK$100 per application form.
You will receive a confirmation email which will be sent to your registered email address. You can also view your enrolled activity under “Upcoming Activity” in your Online Portal.
We only send one confirmation email to your registered email address as you can retrieve your enrolled activities from your Online Portal anytime and anywhere at your computer or mobile device. You however can forward the confirmation email to your other email address.
No, the eCredit issued before 27 September 2017 must be submitted offline together with the registration form and/or membership renewal forms. Please also check the terms & conditions on the eCredit for its usage.
Please login onto your Online Portal and click on the “eCredit” to see the available eCredit. Each eCredit may have different terms & conditions, please click to view the “Terms & Conditions” of different eCredit.
All the eCredit issued after 27 September 2017 can only be redeemed via the Online Portal. When you enrol in course/event and checkout at the “Shopping Cart”, the “Apply eCredit” button will appear on the course/event that is eligible to redeem eCredit. Please select the eCredit you would like to use and the payable amount will then be automatically calculated.

We strongly recommend that you DO NOT use another person’s credit card as disputes may arise.
No. When you enroll in our activities via the personal Online Portal and update your company information, member rates will be automatically applied in our activities.
Please updated your company information via your Online Portal under Profile.
You can download and print your official receipts for examination(s), training course(s) and/or event(s) enrolled on or after 27 September 2017 from your personalised Online Portal under “Receipt”.
Hardcopy receipt will only be issued upon request. Service / administration fee of $100 per copy will be charged.
No. However we can reissue the Official Receipt(s) within six years from the date of the relevant examination(s), training course(s) or event(s) registered.

No. Receipt will only be issued to the registered person who enrols in our examinations, training courses or events.

We can print the Admission Form upon request and you can collect on the examination date.
No. You only need to bring your identification document and report to the CBE examination center on the scheduled date and time.
You can retrieve your activity (other than examination) and CPT records from your personalised Online Portal under Record.
For Members, you can retrieve your records from 1 January 2015 onwards.
For non-Members, you can retrieve your records from the date when you activate your Online Portal (i.e. your first time login date).

You can get the qualified CPT/CPD hours when you have completed the eCourse or eSeminar and pass the post training assessment.
You can retrieve all examination records after 1 January 2015 except for the result of PRC Securities Regulations Examination.
You can download and/or print your notification of examination result and examination certificates from “Record” for the examinations on or after 27 September 2017, except the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society Qualification Examination . There is no restriction in printing your examination result(s) and certificate(s).

- LE (Paper-based Examination (PBE)) in Hong Kong, CPWP Module 1 Examination - Paper 1 (PBE): Approximately 8 working days after the examination
- CPWP Module 1 Examination - Paper 2 (PBE): Approximately 10 weeks after the examination

We only issue hard copy of the CIIA Final Examination/CIWM Examination Certificate and will be available at our counter for collection.

You can request for refund if you have applied to withdraw from LE or CPWP Module 1 examination registration before the withdrawal application deadline. We will charge an administration fee of HK$400 per examination paper per examination session.
No refund will be considered after the application deadline.

You can withdraw from enrolled training course(s) or event(s) up to four working days before the date of the respective training course or event via the HKSI Institute Online Portal. Withdrawal does not apply to eCourses, eSeminars and certain training courses/events where indicated.
The HKSI Institute will charge a withdrawal fee of HK$100 or 40% of the training course or event fee, whichever is higher. The balance will be refunded to you within 28 working days after you have submitted the withdrawal request.

For Cash/EPS payment, we will refund in the form of a cheque. The cheque will be sent by registered mail to your registered address. Other acceptable payment methods, refund via same method as the payment is is made. You may receive the refund within 28 working days depends on your payment method. Service / administration fee per transaction will apply.
Candidates who enrolled for the LE / CPWP Module 1 Examinations / GSQE can download the Study Manual via the “Upcoming Activity” page of the HKSI Institute Online Portal during the period from the enrolment date to the examination date of the relevant examinations.
Yes. In addition to the hardcopy study manuals for the LE / CPWP Module 1 Examination are available for sale at our counter. eStudy Manuals are also available for sale online.
This depends on the type of regulated activities (RA) you wish to carry out, and the position you wish to undertake (i.e. Representative or Responsible Officer). The relevant LE papers required are set out in the "LE and the SFC Licences for Regulated Activities" section on our website.
It depends on the position you wish to undertake. For Relevant Individual defined by the Banking Ordinance, please refer to the requirements of LE papers on Representative. For Executive Officer defined by the Banking Ordinance, please refer to the requirements of LE papers on Responsible Officer.
For SFC licensing purposes, applicants with the appropriate qualifications may seek an exemption for certain Papers. The "Guidelines on Competence" list the different qualifications recognised by the SFC and the exemptions granted.

For the HKSI Institute certification purposes, all LE candidates have three years to complete their combination of examination papers. The 3-year period will commence from the date of the first LE paper that the candidate passes. The HKSI Institute Practising/Specialist Certificates are issued to those who have completed their combination of papers of the LE.
You do not need to enrol the same eCourse or eSeminar again. However the access period is limited to 90 days unless stated otherwise. After 90 days, you are required to enrol again if you want to access the same eCourse or eSeminar.

You will receive the renewal invitation when your membership subscription is about to expire. Please follow the instructions to renew through the Online Portal.
No. This service is not available at the moment. You will receive a renewal notice email for renewal of both AIWM and HKSI Institute memberships. Please complete the form with dual membership payment and return to HKSI Institute.
If your membership expired less than one year, you can renew your membership via the Online Portal.
