Trust Training Certificate Examination
The Hong Kong Trustees’ Association Limited (HKTA) launched Certified Trust Practitioners (CTP) accreditation program in Hong Kong to develop talent, set professional standards within the trust and fiduciary services industries. The HKTA has partnered with the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI Institute) to introduce the Trust Training Certificate (TTC). An individual who complete both TTC Course and Examination will be awarded the TTC. TTC Examination is the qualifying examination specified by the HKTA as meeting the registration requirements to be a Certified Trust Practitioners (CTP).
Individuals are required to complete all seven units of corresponding TTC Course within three years, counting from the first unit attended up to five working days before sitting the examination.

Applicants cannot sit the corresponding examination if they are unable to meet the enrolment prerequisites for the TTC Examination.* The HKSI Institute will automatically withdraw their examination enrolment application prior to the examination date and provide a partial refund of their examination fee(s). This refund will exclude a non-transferable and non-refundable administration fee for vetting, processed within 30 days of the examination date.

Important Note: Applicants who have completed any TTC Course (Part A before March 2024 or Part B before June 2024) under the previous syllabus are not eligible to attempt the examination paper under the new syllabus (version 2.0) after July 2024.

Format: Multiple-choice question (MCQ)
Examination Question Language: English

Duration: 90 minutes for each paper
Pass Mark: 70% for each paper

The retake examination is scheduled to take place one month after the initial examination, with enrolment starting on the day after the initial examination.
TTC is a core component of achieving the HKTA CTP designation. The TTC Course consists of Part A and Part B. Candidates needs to attend the relevant training course to sit the examination for Part A or B respectively. HKSI Institute has offered TTC training course for candidates. Each session of the TTC Examination will be based on the study manuals from the latest TTC training course.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
The MCQs will have four alternatives to choose from where one is the correct or best answer. All questions are equally weighted and there is no penalty for an incorrect answer.

- To be awarded the Trust Training Certificate, individuals are required to complete
- all seven units of corresponding TTC Course with three years, counting from the first unit attended up to five working days before sitting the examination; and
- the Part A and Part B of TTC Examination within six years from the date of the first class of TTC course.
- The aforesaid six-year completion period will NOT be extended under any circumstances.
- Certificates that are not collected within six months of the date of notification of collection will be destroyed. Candidates should keep their certificates safely, since the HKSI Institute will NOT reissue certificate.
Candidates who have completed Trust Training Certificate (TTC) Course and Examination will also need to fulfil the HKTA's "CEM" “Certification, Experience and Membership” requirements before they are obtained Certified Trust Practitioner (CTP) designation.
