Programme Overview
The SET offers comprehensive knowledge on Sustainability Disclosures, Climate Risks, and Net Zero, through 9 modules tailored for learners in various industries. The certification programme aims to cultivate a community of professional ESG practitioners within the financial services and corporate sectors.

Flexible Learning Paths
Learners may enrol directly in the Training and Examination Package for the award of the SET Certificate, which includes 9 training modules and the post-training examination, by selecting one of the streams below:
Programme Details
- The 9 training modules in the Training and Examination Package of each stream are offered as eSeminars or eCourses with a 90-day access period upon successful enrolment.
- These training modules cover key sustainability topics such as sustainability reporting frameworks, ESG ratings, climate risks, and GHG emissions, with a focus on the local context of Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong. They include real-life examples and case studies from various industries to address diverse learner needs.
- Training modules are structured progressively by complexity, enabling gradual and effective skill development.

Note: Only participants enrolled in the Training and Examination Package are potentially eligible to apply for the reimbursement of "Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme" (Scheme). Please refer to the “Scheme” below for more information.
The post-training examination ensures that participants have achieved a thorough understanding of the material, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively implement sustainability strategies in their roles.

Participants who do not pass the initial examination are eligible to retake it within one year from the date of enrolment in the Training and Examination Package and are NOT required to retake the training modules.
Learners enrolled in the Training and Examination Package are required to complete the entire programme within one year from the date of enrolment in order to be eligible for the award of the SET Certificate*, including:
1. Complete all 9 training modules within 90-day access period (total: 10 hours):
- 4 modules (4 hours) under Sustainability Disclosures
- 2 modules (2.5 hours) under Climate Risks
- 3 modules (3.5 hours) under Net Zero*
*For the Net Zero component, learners may choose either the Financial Services or Corporate pathway for 2 of the modules.
2. Pass the post-training examination, which covers content across all 9 training modules.

*Note: Only digital certificates will be issued. No physical copies will be provided.

Re-take Examination

*To be eligible to sit for the examination, participants must complete ALL 9 training modules under either the Financial Services or Corporates path.

| Important Notes on Reimbursable Fees Under the Scheme: |

The Scheme provides training subsidies to Hong Kong residents who are market practitioners and prospective practitioners of green and sustainable finance, namely students and graduates in relevant disciplines. After completing Eligible Programmes, applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 80% of the relevant fees (full-time student applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 100% of the relevant fees), subject to a ceiling of $10,000. The reimbursement application should be submitted via the application portal of the Scheme within 3 months from the date of completion of the Eligible Programme. Please refer to the Guide to Reimbursement Application of Eligible Programmes and FAQs before submitting your application.
