Notice: Special Examination Arrangement in March and April 2022
Due to social distancing restrictions, all in-person examinations in Hong Kong scheduled from now to 30 April 2022 have been cancelled. The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has also extended a period of three calendar months for licensed individuals who are required to pass the regulatory examinations within a prescribed timeframe to fulfil the requirement. Please refer to SFC’s FAQ Q1 updated on 2 March 2022 (click here).
As a temporary arrangement, special one-on-one online examination on selected Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries (LE) Papers have been made available in March and April 2022 as an option for candidates. The one-on-one online examination requires additional resources and special logistical arrangements which include, but not limited to, pre-examination testing and onsite monitoring setting to meet the examination requirements.
The special one-on-one online examination arrangement is adopted from similar online examinations launched for overseas candidates. However, the examination fee has been reduced to HKD6,000 per individual from HKD9,500 per individual.
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and following Hong Kong Government’s advice on the necessary preventive measures. We will resume regular in-person examination as soon as practicable. Announcement will be made on our website should there be any change or update on the examination arrangement.

(Updated: 30 March 2022) Special one-on-one online LE sessions are now full. Openings may be available should there be any withdrawals from registered candidates. |
