Speaker/Course Instructor
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Albert is regarded as one of the leading bankers in the region in the origination, structuring and syndication of commercial real estate debt. His experience spans across a breadth of asset classes and instruments including asset backed securities, syndicated loans, acquisition bridges, subordinated debt and private credit transactions.
Albert started his professional career as a finance lawyer at Clifford Chance, with a focus on securitisation and structured finance.
From 1994 to 2017 Sam was based in Shanghai and advised on multiple city economic development and real estate projects across mainland China, many of these projects included sustainable elements.
He is a Chartered Surveyor and has a master’s degree in Corporate Environmental Governance from The University of Hong Kong and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese with Geography from The University of Leeds. Sam previously served as Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai.
