This course is primarily targeted at asset managers, brokers and traders and sophisticated professional investors who may consider investing in virtual assets.

Financial Incentive Scheme of the WAM Pilot Programme

This course has already been approved as an eligible course of the Financial Incentive Scheme for Professional Training (“the Scheme”) under the Pilot Programme to Enhance Talent Training for the Asset and Wealth Management Sector (“the Pilot Programme”). The Scheme aims to enhance the competency and professionalism of in-service practitioners within the asset and wealth management sector and to assist other practitioners within the financial services industry in acquiring the knowledge and skills required for entering the sector. Eligible applicants will be subsidised 80% of the course fees by the HKSAR Government upon satisfactory completion of the courses approved by Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, subject to a ceiling of HK$15,000. Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute is appointed as the implementation agent of the Pilot Programme. Speaker/Course Instructor

Ben EL-BAZ
Ben is currently Head of Ecosystems at a blockchain-focused Fintech group that is also one of Asia’s most active investors in blockchain-related Fintech. He leads the Group’s strategic partnerships, blockchain applications and asset tokenisation projects, and post-investment management of a US-based tokenised securities firm. Ben is also an Advisor to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Bank for International Settlements’ project on tokenised green bonds, Project Genesis.

With over 13 years of experience in Silicon Valley, Mainland China, and Hong Kong, he started his career as a derivatives trader, then as a China cross-borders corporate finance analyst, before moving into technology product management and business development, serving Big Tech clients like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. Ben is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he earned his Master’s degree in Management and led the university’s largest working group on blockchain applications
