Overview
This course covers alternative investments, which are not traditional investments, for example, hedge funds, real estate, commodities and PE. They are usually less regulated and less liquid and may offer a higher risk-return profile.
Objective
On completing this course, you should be able to:
- Understand the nature, key categories, advantages, and disadvantages of alternative investments;
- Understand the role of alternative investments within asset allocation; and
- Compare advantages and disadvantages of traditional investment funds versus hedge funds.
