[In-person] HKEX’s Regulatory Outlook and Priorities
Overview
Ms Katherine Ng, our past Board Chairperson, who is the Head of Listing at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEX”) will share with us the HKEX’s key listing and regulatory initiatives in 2023 and will also highlight other upcoming policy priorities.
Content
To enable the participants to gain a better understanding of the Exchange’s regulatory focus and various policy initiatives, the seminar will cover the following areas:
• Overview of Exchange’s initiatives in the past 2 years
• Discussion of key initiatives under the following categories:
- Market development
- Market quality
- Efficiency
• Highlight upcoming priorities
• Interactive discussion on selected initiatives (e.g. new Specialist Technology Regime; ESG regulation)
The seminar will be in a format of presentation and facilitated discussion.

Speaker/Course Instructor
Ms. Ng holds a Master of Arts in Law from Trinity College, University of Cambridge and is a qualified lawyer in both Hong Kong and England & Wales.
Ms. Ng is currently an Advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation, a Director of the World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong, a fellow of the Aspen Institute, a Member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance and a senior fellow of Hong Kong Securities and Investment (“HKSI”) Institute. She was the Board Director of HKSI Institute from December 2014 to December 2022 and the Board Chairperson between December 2018 and December 2021.
