蔡女士於2005年加入證監會，她在香港及國際的投資產品監管政策和規定方面擁有豐富知識和經驗，並曾在香港與其他司法管轄區訂立的多項基金互認安排（尤其是與中國內地訂立的開創性基金互認安排）的設計及推出過程中，擔當主要角色。
蔡女士現為國際證券事務監察委員會組織的投資管理委員會主席。
