Maria Sit is the Managing Partner of Dechert's Hong Kong office, Maria is responsible for the firm’s dispute resolution and regulatory enforcement practices in Greater China. She is a former in-house counsel at the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.

Maria has expertise in handling joint investigations by a range of regulatory bodies, both in Asia and elsewhere.

Maria has been ranked by Chambers Greater China as a leading lawyer for Litigation and China Financial Services: Contentious Regulatory. She has also been named as a Next Generation Partner for Hong Kong Regulatory by Legal 500 Asia Pacific. In addition, Ms. Sit has been recognized among Global Investigations Review’s 100 leading women in investigations and shortlisted as one of the finalists in the ‘Financial Services Regulatory’ category by IFLR's Women in Business Law Awards 2020 – Asia. Ivan Chik is a contentious regulatory lawyer and a litigator. Ivan has represented international companies and listed issuers on contentious regulatory matters involving the Securities and Futures Commission, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Independent Commission Against Corruption as well as complex commercial disputes before the High Court of Hong Kong.
