This eCourse consists of two modules. Module 1 describes the basic mechanics of a merger analysis. It also outlines the key steps involved in post-merger balance sheet and income statement consolidation, before concluding with a look at the output analysis that is prepared for the acquiring company in a merger transaction.

This model is not designed to be exhaustive and cover every eventuality or scenario, but it explains the key elements that an analyst tries to understand about a potential deal before commencing on a merger or acquisition assignment.
