Asset and Wealth Management Series

[Webinar] Security Token Offering – Overview & Recent Trends

研討會

概要

Tokenised securities are products like shares and bonds whose proof of ownership is recorded on a distributed ledger, the technology that underpins other digital tokens such as bitcoin. However, for most banks this is still at the “proofs of concept” stage with regulatory and legal challenges remain as one of the main obstacles. With the hope of helping them price and settle transactions more efficiently, more banks are exploring the concept of Security Token Offering (STO). STO refers to the issuance of security tokens which are digital representations of asset ownerships or economic rights using blockchain technology.

內容

In this joint webinar with the Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA), our distinguished speakers will highlight the latest developments of security token offerings (STOs), their presence in Asia, potential benefits to the private wealth management industry in Hong Kong, and the relevant regulatory and risk issues.
