Security token offering (STO) is a new fund raising channel for companies. Recently, it is regulated under the SFC as security in Hong Kong but restricted to professional investors.

STO leverages blockchain technology to lower the minimum investment threshold, alongside streamlining the trading and settlement processes. STO’s benefits allow you to bring new businesses (security/ asset types) to your clients in a more efficient manner.

Lin is responsible for overseeing all of HKbitEX’s research and development activities, including securitised tokens and other digital asset trading products.

Prior to HKbitEX, Lin was a seasoned capital markets lawyer with regulatory experience and a strong management background. She started her career in New York at Fulbright & Jaworski (now Norton Rose Fulbright) where she worked on various corporate matters including public and private M&A and IPOs and private placements. She then moved onto Allen & Overy in Hong Kong, where she was part of the US team covering Asia ex-Japan and worked on deals from Korea to Taiwan to Malaysia and India.

She joined Merrill Lynch in 2007 covering the Asia ex-Japan investment banking team and also took on the role of General Counsel of Greater China for Bank of America's corporate banking business after the merger. In 2013 Lin joined the Listing Division of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to work on IPOs and became the head of the IPO Department where she oversaw the expansion of the team from 60 to 80 and streamlined operations to increase productivity.

Lin holds a JD from NYU and also an SEP (Senior Executive Program) in business administration and management from Stanford university.

Ken Lo is a co-founder of HKbitEX and holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to joining HKbitEX, Ken was one of the early founding members of ZA International where he held the position of Head of Strategic Partnerships. ZA International obtained a Hong Kong Virtual Banking and Virtual Insurance Licenses respectively in March 2019 and May 2020 making them only 1 of 8 Virtual Banks in existence in Hong Kong.

Ken has more than 10 years of experience within the financial industry, with expertise in banking, consulting and Fintech.

Robert is the Capital Market Group Leader and Government Affairs Unit Leader, Southern Region of Deloitte China. Robert has been with Deloitte for 20 years and is also the lead client service partner of a number of listed companies. Over the years, Robert has assisted more than 50 entities in their initial public offerings in Hong Kong over the past years.
