HKSI Institute Welcomes the Appointment of Under Secretary for the Financial Services and the Treasury

Hong Kong, 1 August 2017 – The Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (“HKSI Institute”) welcomes the appointment of HKSI Institute Senior Fellow Mr Joseph Chan Ho Lim as Under Secretary for the Financial Services and the Treasury (“FSTB”). Mr Chan, a long-time member of the HKSI Institute, has contributed to the development of the financial services industry through his various involvement and capacity at the HKSI Institute – as Board Director since 2014, in addition to his stewardship as committee chairman and mentor.

Mr Joseph Chan’s resignation from HKSI Institute Board Directorship will take effect immediately. Board Chairman Mr John Maguire commends Mr Chan’s commitment and enthusiasm to the development of our industry, especially in nurturing young professionals. “Joseph is devoted in grooming young talents through his involvement in HKSI Institute Scholarship and Mentoring Programmes. We are proud to see Joseph’s appointment to this important position and look forward to working with him in his new role to further the development of the financial services industry.”
