“I am honoured to be given the mandate to lead the Institute. I look forward to continuing my involvement with the Institute and working actively with my fellow Board Directors and stakeholders in embracing new challenges and opportunities,” said Mr Shaftesley.

At the HKSI Institute’s 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today, Members elected Mr Colin Shaftesley, Mr Vincent Chan, Mr Robert Lui, Mr Barry Tong and Mr Wang Zhongze as Board Directors, and Ms Phyllis Lee was re-elected. Mr Shaftesley was elected as Chairman at the Board Meeting held in September 2021 subject to the election results at the AGM.

The Institute also welcomes the SFC’s reappointment of Ms Katherine Ng and Mr Eric Ho, Director of Licensing, Intermediaries of the SFC to the Board, and the new appointment of Mr Jeremy Lam, Partner and Head of Financial Services Practice of Deacons.
