FSDC Industry Exchange Series – Wealth for Good: Hong Kong as a Regional Philanthropic Hub

Hong Kong’s cultural diversity, robust financial sector, and rich history of giving have positioned it as a philanthropic powerhouse in the region. With the growing involvement of wealthy families and their family offices in philanthropy, it is essential to reinforce the ecosystem that supports these endeavours to establish Hong Kong as a global family office hub. Thus, the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) conducted a study to identify the common challenges facing the current sector and to examine the city’s strengths as a philanthropic hub. The report also puts forward key recommendation for building a holistic ecosystem conducive to the development of philanthropic giving in Hong Kong.
