2026 Shenzhen-Hong Kong Financial Innovation Competition
The 2026 Shenzhen-Hong Kong Financial Innovation Competition (Hong Kong Division) (the "Competition") is now open for applications.
The Competition is jointly organised by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau, the Shenzhen Branch of the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration Shenzhen Bureau, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission Shenzhen Bureau, with Cyberport serving as the organiser of the Hong Kong Division.
The Competition aims to foster financial innovation collaboration and the exchange of outstanding projects between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, while strengthening connections within the cross-border financial ecosystem. Eligible organisations are encouraged to participate and explore opportunities for innovation and collaboration.

Competition Tracks (Each project may enter only one track.)
- TechFin (including Wealth Management and Capital Markets)
- Inclusive Finance (including Green Finance)
- FinTech
- Shenzhen-Hong Kong Financial Connectivity
Eligibility for the Hong Kong Division
- Licensed financial institutions in Hong Kong;
- Technology companies registered in Hong Kong that primarily serve the financial services sector; or
- Principal project owners of Shenzhen-Hong Kong financial or fintech collaboration initiatives.
Competition Format
To accommodate the practical needs of both Shenzhen and Hong Kong participants, the Competition adopts the format of "Joint Organisation, Joint Launch, Separate Preliminary Rounds, and Joint Final Round."
Shenzhen and Hong Kong will separately conduct project solicitation, eligibility screening and preliminary evaluations, while the Organising Committee will oversee the final judging process and the announcement of results.
