Launch of New Licensing Examination Papers For SFC Type 13 Regulated Activity (RA 13)
In response to Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)’s Guidelines on Competence for top-level trustees and custodians (i.e. depositaries) of SFC-authorised Collective Investment Schemes in Hong Kong, which will be effective 2 October 2024, two new licensing examination (LE) papers have been introduced:
- LE Paper 18 – Regulation of Providing Depositary Services
- LE Paper 19 – Depositary Services for Collective Investment Schemes
The first examination session for LE Paper 18 will commence on 27 September 2024, and for LE Paper 19, it will commence on 25 September 2024. Enrolment starts today, 30 August 2024.
The LE recognised by the SFC for meeting the competence requirements for licensing applications under RA 13:
