The HKSI Institute wishes to congratulate its Senior Fellow and former Chairman, Dr AU King Lun, on his appointment as Executive Director of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) effective from 4 August 2020.

Leading the HKSI Institute as Chairman from 2006 to 2008, Dr Au expanded and strengthened the Institute’s relationships with industry stakeholders locally and abroad, especially with the growing Chinese market. Following Mainland and Hong Kong’s Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), the HKSI Institute partnered with Securities Association of China to conduct reciprocal qualification examinations for those who want to join the industry, and the Institute also organised many executive workshops and training courses in the Mainland. Under Dr Au’s inspirational leadership, the HKSI Institute also successfully made licensing examinations more accessible by introducing computer-based examinations. Dr Au’s strategic directions and initiatives continue to benefit the HKSI Institute today, and his induction as our Senior Fellow in 2014 is a testament to his significant contributions.
