HKSI Institute Pays Tribute to Honorary Fellow Mr Paul Chow

The HKSI Institute extends its condolences to the family of Mr Paul Chow, a longstanding member of the Institute who passed away on 1 June 2023.

Mr Chow was an Honorary Fellow inducted in 2009 for his exceptional contributions to the financial services industry and the Institute. He had a distinguished career spanning several decades, including notable positions at the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), and was a true pioneer in his field.

Mr Colin Shaftesley, Chairman of the HKSI Institute, expressed deep sadness over Mr Chow’s passing and remembered him as an open and engaging person who was always supportive of the Institute’s work and a champion of its cause. “Paul was a remarkable person who touched the lives of many and his contributions to the Institute will be remembered and celebrated for years to come,” he said.  

Honorary Fellow Dr Bill Kwok also paid tribute to Mr Chow, recalling his passion for serving the industry and his energy on the Board of HKEX. Dr Kwok described him as a visionary leader and a friend of the Institute.

Honorary Fellow Dr King Au fondly remembered Mr Chow as a generous and knowledgeable member of the community. “Paul’s invaluable foresight and ready sharing were unrivaled, and his lasting impact will continue to inspire us all to strive for professional excellence,” Dr Au added.
