The HKSI Institute congratulates the appointment of its Honorary Fellow, Mrs Cha May-Lung, Laura as the Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited on 26 April 2018.

Mrs Cha is a non-official member of the Executive Council of the HKSAR Government and a Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China. She is also the Chairman of Financial Services Development Council since 2013, and the Vice Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission from 2001 to 2004. She previously served as Chairman of the University Grants Committee and the Advisory Committee on Corruption of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, and was an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited from 2006-2012, and was re-appointed to its board in February 2018.
