Digital & Crypto Assets - Part 4

Overview

This eCourse consists of two modules on crypto assets. The crypto landscape is rapidly evolving, and this course explores two key developments shaping its future.

Crypto derivatives sit at the intersection of the dynamic crypto asset universe and the broader derivatives market. Module 1 provides an overview of crypto derivatives, looking at some of the most widely used instruments, key benefits and risks, and the evolving regulatory backdrop.

Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) are a new form of money – at varying stages of development, depending on jurisdiction – that combines the convenience of digital payments with the reliability of central bank-issued currency. Module 2l provides an overview of CBDCs, looking at their intended role within the monetary system, different types of CBDC, CBDC adoption, and the impact of CBDCs on the banking sector.
