[Webinar] Unlocking Green Finance Opportunities: China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Hong Kong's Financial Sector

Overview

China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), officially adopted in March 2026, positions Hong Kong as the premier "super-connector" to unlock international capital for the nation's high-tech and green economic transformation. By emphasising "indigenous innovation", "high-standard opening up", and the depth of the digital economy, the national blueprint directly strengthens Hong Kong's role as a global offshore Renminbi (RMB) hub, asset management centre, and risk management base. The Hong Kong SAR Government is capitalising on this framework through its targeted "Finance+" approach, explicitly aligning local policies with mainland priorities to drive cross-border financial integration.

This webinar will explore how the financial sector in Hong Kong can complement this 15th Five-Year Plan, and the role it can play in strengthening Hong Kong’s position as one of the top 3 global financial centres and to significantly scale its financial architecture to serve the real economy through its targeted "Finance+" approach.
