The Asia-Pacific region has emerged as the fastest-growing area for asset pool expansion, positioning Asset Management (AM) as one of the most dynamic sectors within financial services. Leveraging its strategic location and well-established financial infrastructure, Hong Kong continues to serve as a premier platform for capitalising on opportunities shaped by favourable macroeconomic conditions. To remain competitive, AM practitioners must deepen their understanding of both local and global developments, stay abreast of industry trends, and broaden their service offerings to meet evolving market demands and unlock new avenues for growth.

Speaker/Course Instructor

Daniel JIM
Mr Jim started his career in Europe and was instrumental in supporting major European institutions' first investments into Chinese equities. He subsequently founded one of the first home-grown independent investment management firms in Greater China, focusing on alternative investment strategies.

Over the years, Mr Jim has established himself as one of Asia's pioneers in global hedge fund investments, conducted due diligence on more than 5,000 and allocated to over 100 funds. Mr Jim has been lecturing at the Institute for 20 years on topics ranging from hedge fund to asset management and is currently also a Part-time Lecturer at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

Daniel earned his Bachelor and Master degrees at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and SDA Bocconi in Milan, respectively, upon graduating from St. Joseph’s College in Hong Kong.
