Overview

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a symbol of both hope and fear, with some anticipating job losses and hostile AI, while others envision a world where machines take over repetitive tasks and address significant challenges like illness and crime. Part of the award-winning Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Certificate in Ethical Artificial Intelligence programme, this course aims to enhance learners’ understanding of ethical issues in the use of AI. It offers a comprehensive overview of AI, including its history, development trends, key terminology, machine learning, risks, ethics, and data protection. It aims to equip learners with foundational knowledge and critical insights into AI's impact on society and various industries.

- Identify and differentiate between narrow AI and general AI, machine learning techniques and deep learning principles
- Recognise key development trends in AI and its impact on various industries
- Define common AI terms and understand the ethical issues and potential risks associated with AI

Final Assessment
- There are 20 questions in the final assessment.
- Only two attempts is allowed to pass the assessment (75% pass mark).
- If both attempts are unsuccessful, learners will need to repurchase the course to retake the assessment.
- Once an assessment is passed, retakes will not be available.
