This course covers the basics of tokens and tokenised assets, examines the current use cases and discuss the operational aspects of different types of tokenisation. This concise session provides a practical introduction to key concepts, equipping participants with essential insights into the world of tokenised finance.

Note: This course is an elective module in the Certification Programme for Virtual Asset Professionals (CVAP). Participants must complete TWO elective modules. If you have not enrolled in another elective, please refer to the 'Elective Modules' section on the programme page for a list of available options. The CVAP Core Curriculum must be completed BEFORE taking any elective module. Enrolment for this course opens on 15 May 2025.

- describe the financial structures and models of tokenisation
- describe the advantages, operational and technical challenges of tokenisation;

William GEE
William Gee FCA FHKICPA is a retired Chartered Accountant with a career spanning four decades. With over 20 years of experience, he advises on technology adoption, specialising in digital assets, blockchain, and virtual currencies. As a pioneer in blockchain assurance, he develops audit methodologies and governance standards. William also focuses on the ethical impact of emerging technologies, particularly A.I. and blockchain, and advises on Post-Quantum Cryptography.
