[Webinar] Cheat Codes: Deciphering Regulatory Developments Across Tokenisation and AI in Hong Kong's Financial Sector

Overview

Given the exponential pace of development of AI and its rapid adoption across various industry sectors, including in particular financial services, it is imperative to understand how AI is regulated and how financial services should adapt their practices in order to ensure legal and ethical and use of AI. At the same time, tokenisation is another trend that is taking off and is important to understand the potential use cases and also regulatory requirements for their issuance, distribution and sale.

The webinar targets executives, MICs of licensed corporations, compliance officers, VA-related practitioners carrying out VA-related activities, asset managers, brokers and traders and sophisticated professional investors who may consider investing in virtual assets, as well as practitioners interested in the development, deployment and use of AI in the financial services space.

Financial Incentive Scheme of the WAM Pilot Programme

This course has already been approved as an eligible course of the Financial Incentive Scheme for Professional Training (“the Scheme”) under the Pilot Programme to Enhance Talent Training for the Asset and Wealth Management Sector (“the Pilot Programme”). The Scheme aims to enhance the competency and professionalism of in-service practitioners within the asset and wealth management sector and to assist other practitioners within the financial services industry in acquiring the knowledge and skills required for entering the sector. Eligible applicants will be subsidised 80% of the course fees by the HKSAR Government upon satisfactory completion of the courses approved by Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, subject to a ceiling of HK$15,000. Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute is appointed as the implementation agent of the Pilot Programme.
