Speaker/Course Instructor

Ivan LI
Dr Ivan Li, a Charter Engineer, Certified Carbon Reduction Manager at MIET. He is also an Executive Director at China Galaxy International Financial Holding Limited, brings 15 years of expertise in carbon, AIOT, and smart grids. He established the inaugural carbon business department among Chinese Financial Institutions in Hong Kong, spearheading innovative green finance products and cross-border carbon trading. Noteworthy achievements include issuing the world's first green bond with "drone + carbon satellite" certification and facilitating the pioneering cross-border sale of a "one-Yuan carbon offset project." Recognised for his contributions, he received the Special Excellence Award from the Hong Kong China Finance Association. Dr Li designed the groundbreaking QFLP cross-border carbon fund and was instrumental in launching the Asia Pacific Low Carbon Index ETF, the world's largest equity ETF on the SGX.

Ivan is also the Secretary General of the Hong Kong Energy Services Association and contributes as an expert to the Hong Kong Finance Development Council's Carbon Market Opportunities Task Force.

Huw SLATER
Based in China since 2011, Huw at ClientEarth manages the EU-China Environment Project, fostering policy integration between China and the EU through exchange activities on environmental protection. His background includes the EU-China Emissions Trading Cooperation Platform, the UK Prosperity Fund China Energy Program, collaborations with the Institute for Environment and Development in China, and work with the Australian National University on Climate Change and Fiscal Policy for APEC. He also previously served as Chair of the European Chamber of Commerce in China's Carbon Market Working Group.

Huw is the lead author of the annual China Carbon Pricing Survey reports, offering detailed stakeholder insights on China's carbon market development.
