Biodiversity
Overview
In recent years, biodiversity loss has been recognised as critical as climate change to the sustainability of the planet’s ecosystem and to the companies and communities that depend on it. Biodiversity loss carries huge implications for the financial sector, both in terms of the potential financial impact, and for banks’ operational models and risk management strategies. Banks will be assessed on their role in preventing biodiversity loss, requiring them to effectively manage the risks to ensure their activities are aligned with their sustainability goals.
In this eCourse, we explore the impacts of biodiversity loss and how financial institutions can play their part in its mitigation.
