[Webinar]: Navigating Oil Markets: Understanding the Difference Between ICE Brent and NYMEX WTI Futures
Overview
Oil market participants rely on crude benchmarks to navigate volatility and to intelligently manage and take risks. It is important to understand how different contracts work and the ways market fundamentals can impact performance. During March 2020 and April 2020, crude prices were under severe downward pressure, mainly due to an unprecedented demand shock and also to severe oversupply. This was underscored by negative WTI prices on April 20, 2020.
So what are the differences between ICE Brent and NYMEX WTI? Could the same thing happen to ICE Brent prices?
Join Mike Wittner, head of oil market research at ICE, to learn more about how the oil markets work.
