Trust Training Certificate (TTC) - Unit 5: Trusts Compared with Other Estate Planning Vehicles



This is Unit 5 of the training programme in pursuing the "Trust Training Certificate".

It provides an overview of other Estate planning vehicles and how they are compared with a Trust.

For the topics to cover, please refer to the content section below.

If the participant is intended to pursue the "Trust Training Certificate", he / she is required to take "TTC Unit 1: Types of Trusts" and "TTC Unit 2: Types of Trusts and When Appropriate" prior to attending this course.

Who should attend

This course is primarily targeted to those who would like to pursue the "Trust Training Certificate" in order to apply for the Hong Kong Trustees' Association Certified Trust Practitioner™ designation.

It is also relevant to those who would like to gain a solid understanding of the course subject matter and / or those who plan to enter into the Trust industry sector.

She is a fund, trust and tax lawyer noted for her practice in helping global ultra-high-net-worth families set up, restructure and operate investment-centric, service-centric, and comprehensive value-centric family offices. She is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Certified Tax Advisor, member of the Academy Community of STEP and Certified Islamic Finance Executive. She also holds STEP Certificate and Diploma in International Trust Management, STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes, and Advanced Certificate and Diploma in Fund Administration. She is also pursuing a post-graduate university qualification in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology to enhance her offerings for ultra-high-net-worth families. She is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Law of the National Chengchi University of Taiwan. She is also honorary fellow of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law and an attorney-author with Baker McKenzie Link and LexisNexis (where she is also on the editorial board for private wealth contents). She is listed in CityWealth Leaders List TOP 10 China & Hong Kong 2019, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019, Who’s Who Legal: Private Client 2019 and CityWealth Leaders List 2019.
