Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Big Bay Area – Development and Investment Opportunities
Overview
In March 2017, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang addressed in the annual work report at the start of National People’s Congress that the authorities would push on with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau. This will cover 11 cities with an aggregate GDP of USD1.24 trillion and external trade of USD1.8 trillion with an area of 56K sq. km and population of more than 60 million, It is designed to coordinate economic and infrastructure development in the area to tap into markets in Southeast Asia and South Asia. Hong Kong will play a new and special role and this creates tremendous opportunities for the market.
In this course, we will review the current economic development in the region, the implication of the policies, the future roadmap and investment theme. It is suitable for buy and sell side as well as public who would like to know more about the Big Bay Area project.

Mr Wu is currently the Chairman of Asia Financial Risk Think Tank and Hong Kong Chapter of the Institute of Operational Risk (IOR). He is advisor of various financial institutions, associations and universities in HK, China and Singapore on investment and risk related matters. He has published articles and whitepapers on current financial and risk management topics in Chinese and Western public and government media.
