Mr Chris Tang, Case Competition Programme Chairperson, said, “This programme bridges aspiration with experience.  Backed by strong industry support and real‑world learning, students gain Fintech knowledge as well as essential skills in teamwork and communication.”

He added, “Advancing to the finals was no easy feat, with teams progressing through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a distinguished panel[1] comprising regulators from the Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, alongside Fintech experts and senior executives from leading financial institutions.”

Commenting on the Fintech theme, Mr Kevin Liem, Chairperson of the HKSI Institute said, “As Fintech reshapes financial services, this year’s Case Competition plays an important role in nurturing our student members and developing the next generation of financial professionals in our industry.  Over the years, the Case Competition has gone from strength to strength, supported by an expanding network of sponsors offering hands-on coaching, as well as providing more cash prizes and placement opportunities.”

Structured as a multi‑stage programme, 460+ student members, formed into teams, were coached by 27 Project Sponsors who selected their top‑performing team to progress to the semi‑finals.  Six teams were then selected to proceed to the finals, with cash prizes awarded to semi‑finalists and finalists, and placement offers extended to the Champion team.
