Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, China has put in place strong border restrictions which have essentially limited international inbound travelers including those from Hong Kong. Travel restrictions have created challenges for many Hong Kong-based and international internal audit, compliance and investigation professionals in monitoring their companies’ subsidiaries, investments and business partners in China.
