Leveraging Technology Technology is a key enabler in enhancing our service offerings for members and practitioners. We engaged a reputable consultant to review our information technology controls and infrastructure and have made good p r og r es s on strengthening our systems. In boosting customers’ experience with us and achieving operational efficiency and security, we also r e d e s i g n e d o u r i n f o r m a t i o n technology system architecture and worked on various process a u t oma t i o n p r o j e c t s . D i g i t a l transformation will continue to play a critical role in managing risks and driving business growth. Community Engagement Many initiatives were undertaken to promote industry awareness and development, and we welcomed the invitations from government agencies, professional bodies, businesses and the academia in engaging us. This includes the opportunity to host a corporate social responsibility (CSR) talk on telephone deception with the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) of the Police Force’s Commercial Crime Bureau, and a talk by the Competition Commission on the key elements of the Competition Ordinance and the implications for financial services practitioners. On a regular basis, we also promote Financial Services Development Counc i l ( FSDC) ’ s Pr ac t i t i one r Speake r s Se r i es and I ndus t r y Ex change Se r i es web i na r s t o practitioners and students, to create awareness of industry updates and the career opportunities. With the solid achievements of the HKSAR Government-funded Pilot Programme to Enhance Talent Training for the Asset and Wealth Management 為優化客戶體驗，提高營運效率和安 全，我們亦重新設計資訊科技系統的 架構，並著手推行多項程序自動化計 劃。數碼轉型將繼續是學會管理風險 及促進業務增長的有力工具。 心繫專業社群 我們在報告期內安排了不少活動，希 望增進同業對市場資訊和發展的認 知，亦非常榮幸獲邀參與由各政府部 門、專業團體、商界及學術界主辦的 項目。舉例說，我們曾與警方商業罪 案調查科轄下的反詐騙協調中心合辦 預防電話騙案講座，履行企業社會責 任，並邀請競爭事務委員會代表出席 講座，講解《競爭條例》重點及對金融 服務業者的影響。 此外，我們還定期向金融服務業者及 學生推廣香港金融發展局（金發局）「業 界人士講座系列」及「業界交流系列」網 上研討會，以提高對業界最新動態和 就業機會的認知。 特區政府推出以公帑資助的「提升資產 財富管理業人才培訓先導計劃」（資產 財富管理業先導計劃），成果豐碩。當 局已將計劃延長至 2023 年，並再次委 託學會代為執行，為期三年。在報告 期內，我們與財經事務及庫務局（財庫 局）、參與實習計劃的僱主，以及「專 業培訓資助計劃」的合資格培訓機構緊 密合作，使有關措施惠及更多學生及 現職從業員。儘管面對重重挑戰，但 相較 2019/20 年度，我們在多方面均 超越 WAM 先導計劃訂下的年度目標。 放眼未來 策略重點 香港是充滿活力的金融中心，轉變是 常態，但亦帶來機遇和增長動力。經 董事局核准的策略重點，將繼續聚焦 在支援本地金融服務業發展，以及秉 持行業操守和專業標準兩大範疇。 我們將拓展接觸面及增強服務，在創 造價值之餘，亦更緊貼使用者的需 要。另外，先進學習平台將進一步改 良，務求提供優質合時的專業發展方 案，培育人才。 金融科技領域 我們將加強與數碼港合作，與金融科 技界建立更緊密的聯繫，加快金融科 技的應用。透過為初創公司及企業家 提供支援計劃，學會可充當他們與會 員及其他持份者的橋樑，凝聚各方力 量，幫助香港建立強大的金融科技生 態系統。 Sector (WAM Pilot Programme), we are pleased to be reappointed as its implementation agent for another three years until 2023. During the reporting period, we worked closely with the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB), participating employers of the internship programme and eligible training providers of the financial incentive scheme initiative. Mo r e s t uden t s and i n - se r v i ce practitioners benefited from the WAM Pilot Programme through these initiatives. We were able to exceed the programme’s annual targets on many fronts as compared to 2019/20 despite all the challenges. Way Forward Strategic Priorities Change is inevitable in a dynamic financial hub like Hong Kong, which leads to opportunities and growth. Our strategic priorities approved by the Board continue to focus on supporting the local financial services industry’s development and upholding the integrity and professionalism of our industry. We will broaden our reach and expand our service offerings to create value and make it relevant. Our ALP will be further enhanced to deliver high quality and timely professional development solutions for talent development. Fintech Network In building closer ties with the Fintech community and to accelerate Fintech adoption, we will increase our collaboration with Cyberport. We will be providing support programmes to the start-ups and entrepreneurs, connecting them with our Members and other stakeholders, and growing together to build a strong Fintech ecosystem in Hong Kong. 善用科技 科技是我們得以提升對會員及同業服 務的關鍵。報告期內，我們聘請了信 譽良好的顧問公司檢討學會現行的資 訊科技監管措施及基建，在強化系統 方面取得良好進展。 04 Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute Annual Report 2021
