Supporting the Industry Staying true to our mission to r e i n f o r c e , r a i s e a n d p r omo t e p r o f ess i ona l s t anda r ds o f t he financial services industry, we partnered with the Macau Institute of Financial Services (MIFS) to offer our key practising qualification, the Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries (LE), in Macau commencing April 2021. On t h e g e n e r a l t r a i n i n g a n d development front, we focused on broadening our webinar and other digital learning solutions, covering hot topics such as regulatory and compliance updates, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), Fintech, virtual assets, capital markets, and risk management. Our wide range of eCourses are readily available for corporates a n d i n d i v i d u a l s t o f u l f i l t h e i r continuous professional training ( CPT ) r equ i r emen t s , and ou r training experts provided support to our corporate training clients and professional bodies in deploying webinar sessions. We also had the privilege of hosting Mr Ashley Alder, Chief Executive Officer of SFC, Ms Alice Law, then Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) and Mr Charles Li, then Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) to share with us their latest initiatives in supporting Hong Kong’s financial services industry. Member Focused A review of the Membership Rules was conduc t ed t o hone i n on benefits that are much appreciated by members, and to provide a set of clear, structured, and easy-to- read rules. For Individual Members, we expanded the eligibility for lifetime membership and fellowship progression to better recognise the contributions made from our long- serving members.
