FAQ

GETTING STARTED
HKSI Institute Online Portal
1. I am a HKSI Institute member. Do I need to create an Online Portal user account?

Individual and Corporate Members must have an Online Portal user account to access the full range of member benefits and discounts, as well as the HKSI Institute Mobile.

For Individual Members, you only need to activate your user account by completing the first-time login procedure, if you have not already done so.

If your company is a Corporate Member, you need to create a user account and ensure that your company name is inputted in your “PROFILE” under the “Current Employment” section of the Online Portal. Afterward, proceed with the first-time login procedure.

2. I am not a HKSI Institute member. Do I need to create an Online Portal user account?

You need to create a user account to enrol for examinations, training courses, and events, as well as to access the HKSI Institute Mobile. Once the account is created and you have completed the first-time login procedure, you will have easy enrolment access and conveniently track your attendance records.

3. Why can’t I login to my Online Portal after I have activated / created account?

This may be caused by one of the following reasons:

  • user account has not been activated within 72 hours after the “First-Time Login” email was sent to your registered email address
  • first-time login procedure may not be properly carried out
  • username and/or password entered do not match any accounts on record

Please check against the above possible reasons and try again. If you still could not login, please email us at [email protected] for assistance.

4. What should I do if I do not receive the first-time login email?

After successfully activating / creating your account, you should receive a “First-Time Login” at your registered email address. If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your junk/spam folder.

If you still could not find it, please email us at [email protected] for assistance.

5. If I have an Online Portal account, am I eligible for HKSI Institute member’s rate?

An Online Portal account enables you to enrol in our activities and keep track of your records, but it does not automatically grant you HKSI Institute membership. To enjoy members’ discounts and other benefits, you must apply for Individual or Corporate Membership by completing the application form and submitting the required supporting documents and payment. For more information on our membership and application process, click here.

6. What is the purpose of the QR code found in my Online Portal account?

As a registered user of the Online Portal, you will be assigned a personalised QR code. This code can be used for easy check-in at HKSI Institute’s in-person training courses or events. You can access your QR code either through your Online Portal account or via the HKSI Institute Mobile.
