Corporate Banking - Part 4

Corporate Banking - Part 4

This eCourse consists of two modules. Module 1 focuses on short-term finance. It explains the cash conversion cycle and how this, and timing mismatches between cash inflows and outflows, give rise to the need for short-term funding. The module describes, in detail, funded short-term credit products, such as overdrafts and short-term loans. It outlines the key features of these products and how they are aligned with the needs of a corporate business. The risks arising from providing these different products are also described, as well as how these risks are managed by assessing appropriateness, right-sizing, and monitoring usage.

Module 2 describes accounts receivable, how they are generated, and the business needs they give rise to. It also provides detailed coverage of the various accounts receivable finance products and how their different combinations of features meet different business needs. The module concludes by outlining the main product risks associated with accounts receivable financing and how these risks can be managed.
