MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE 行政總裁的話 08 Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute Annual Report 2020 We led a Members-only delegation to Hangzhou with the support from Hangzhou Investment Promotion Bu r eau and Hangzhou Go l ong Technology Co Ltd, and met with key technology influencers in the city. A variety of other member- exclusive events and discounts – for both professional and lifestyle even t s – we r e a l so o f f e r ed t o provide a differentiated experience. More targeted initiatives such as cross-sector networking events and pa r t ne r sh i p w i t h i ndus t r y s t a k e h o l d e r s , we r e d r i v e n t o further explore new propositions for members. A Corporate Member Survey was then conducted in March 2020 which provided a good reference for us to tailor-made relevant service offerings to meet our corporate members’ needs. Talent Development Initiatives We are steadfast in our commitment to groom talent for the financial services industry. Our CV Clinics and sharing sessions featuring senior members of the HKSI Institute are two of the sought-after programmes for our young members. Besides our flagship Scholarship a n d M e n t o r i n g P r o g r a mm e s and t he Young P r o f e s s i ona l s Club activities, we supported the Gove r nmen t i n expand i ng t he eligibility of undergraduates to apply for the SIP under the WAM Pilot Programme. The expansion not only offers students a varied exposure to different organisations and job functions, but provides the participating employers a wider pool of applicants for their selection. Sustainability and Way Forward Looking ahead, we will continue our digital transformation journey. Bu i l d i ng on ou r sca l ab l e ALP, we w i l l e x p a n d o u r eCo u r s e library catalogue, accelerate the development of digital learning solutions and explore ways to automate our service offerings where possible. With the spotlight on areas such as ESG, wealth management, Fintech, ethics and Greater Bay Area, we will offer more timely CPT seminars and courses on these topics in addition to other topics related to regulatory and compliance, insurance, trusts and fiduciary services. We will continue to work with more professional bodies and well-known speakers on a variety of learning solutions, subject knowledge and activities. I n Ma y 2 0 2 0 , w e i n i t i a t e d a collaboration with Fintech Association of Hong Kong to launch the “Fin + Tech & Beyond” webinar series. We held the inaugural session in July 2020, and insights on actionable initiatives will be shared by industry leaders and influencers. 承蒙杭州市投資促進局及杭州國朗科 技有限公司支持,學會組織了專為會 員而設的考察團到訪當地,並參觀該 市的龍頭科企。我們有一系列會員專 享的活動和折扣優惠,既配合事業發 展,更讓工作以外的生活增添趣味, 期望大家感受身為學會會員的獨特體 驗。另外,我們也舉辦了更多為特定 群組而設的活動,如跨界別交誼聚會 和與業內持份者合作,從而為會員探 索新意念和構思。在 2020 年 3 月進行 的機構會員意見調查,為我們提供了 實用的參考資料,有助學會因應機構 會員的需要提供適切服務。 培育人才 我們矢志為金融服務業培育人才。「履 歷表撰寫精要講座」及由學會資深會員 主講的分享會,就是其中 2 項最受年輕 會員歡迎的活動。 我們除繼續舉辦獎學金計劃、師友計 劃和新銳會活動,還協助政府執行放 寬本科生參加「資產財富管理業先導 計劃」下「暑期實習計劃」的申請。此舉 不但有利同學接觸不同金融機構和職 能,亦可讓僱主在聘請實習生時有更 多選擇。 持續發展 邁步向前 展望未來,學會將繼續推動數碼改 革,以先進學習平台為基礎,拓展可 供選擇的網上課程,加快推出各類虛 擬學習方案,並探討推行服務自動化 的方法。 除了開辦關於監管、合規、保險和 信託服務的「持續專業培訓」講座和課 程,鑑於環境、社會與企業管治、財 富管理、金融科技、商業操守、大灣 區發展等議題越益受到重視,我們亦 會將其納入講座和課程範圍,並持續 與專業團體及知名講者攜手,共同推 出各類學習方案、專題介紹和活動。 2020 年 5 月,學會主動與香港金融科 技協會商議推出「金融 + 科技 + 前瞻」 網上講座系列,並於 2020 年 7 月舉辦 首場講座。展望未來,我們將邀請業 界領袖和具影響力的人士分享對一些 可行措施的見解。
