This year, HKIB will focus on the most important digital innovations and policies adjustments in the banking industry. From the new national Greater Bay Area masterplan, which offers exciting opportunities to the financial services sector, to the latest technological advancements affecting the industry from consumer to banking operations, these new changes bring possibility and evolution.
Recently, the banking industry has seen many advancements including virtual banking, open banking and artificial intelligence. As the way customers are using banking shifts, so too the best workforce models and skill set requirements. With presentations and interactive panel discussions, the conference offers a wealth of information and connections which will help the delegates, representing over 600 banking professionals, get an edge on the new frontier of smart banking.
HKIB is ahead of the game, with this year’s theme – “The New Future of Banking and Bankers – Greater Bay Area and Digitalisation” – the conference will dive deep into these new changes and provide important context and commentary on how to implement and take advantage of these fundamental changes to the banking industry. It will also give banking professionals pertinent information on how to leverage and develop their technology to stay relevant, stay competitive and provide value to their customers as banking evolves over the next decade.
Beginning with a plenary session that will address strategic issues from a range of experienced views, the event will then feature three afternoon breakout streams that will each focus on a hot topic to deliver practical insight on implementing change for the future today. Thought leaders and industry experts will present innovative business models and technologies that will be major players in the future of banking.
