MEMBERSHIP AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 會籍及業務拓展 BUSINESS REVIEW │業務回顧 As we expand our presence in the GBA, we are grateful for the China Committee’s valuable input and initiatives in shaping our outreach strategy to the GBA and Mainland Chinese firms in line with our 2023/2024 priorities. The Qianhai Investment Intention Survey, conducted with our Members in April 2023, provided valuable insights for organising relevant activities with the Qianhai business community, which led to the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen Municipality (Authority of Qianhai) on 8 June 2023. The agreement represents a commitment from both organisations to work together towards promoting the development of our respective markets and enhancing the professional development of the industry – paving way for greater cooperation and mutual success in the future. On 15 September 2023, a delegation of 35 members led by Board Director Dr Wang Zhongze, participated in the “Study Mission to Shenzhen,” sponsored by Silverstone Investments Limited. We visited the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau, where we received a warm welcome from Mr Shi Weigan, then Deputy Director- General of the bureau and his team, who provided invaluable insights into Shenzhen’s financial development landscape. We also visited the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Securities Association, and Qianhai Authority, along with the Qianhai Finance and Shenzhen Green Finance Associations. Our discussions deepened our understanding of green finance initiatives, Fintech development, and opportunities in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect.
