EXPANDINGOUR NETWORK ANDOUTREACH BUSINESS REVIEW In an earlier engagement, our China Committee Member Dr Liu Xin was invited to join their event, “From Lingang to Hong Kong – Listing Process for Lingang New Area Enterprises in Hong Kong & Policy Exchange Conference”, to introduce the HKSI Institute to their audience. To broaden our service offerings in Mainland China and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), our Market Development team has actively strengthened connections with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and establishing new partnerships to support regional growth. Our Shenzhen Office hosted a visit from Ms Gao Lin Xi (right) and Mr Ji Hailong (left) from Shanghai Lingang Special Area Economic Development Co., Ltd on 16 November 2022 to discuss on the long-term cooperation between our two organisations. Our Chief Executive Miss Ruth Kung (fourth from left) and team had a fruitful meeting with Ms Doris Lian, Chairman of Chinese Asset Management Association of Hong Kong (fourth from right) and their representatives on 14 December 2022. The meeting has established channels for continuous and open communication, laying the foundation for future cooperation, such as organising training sessions in Putonghua. On 23 February 2023, we had the privilege of engaging with Ms Wang Yanhong, Deputy Chairwoman of Securities Association of China (SAC), and her team, to explore training collaboration beyond our existing partnership on LE. This is an important step toward expanding our training reach and strengthening our alliance. In the fourth quarter of 2022/23, we submitted our applications to Luohu District Government, to include our HKSI Institute Practising Certificates and HKSI Institute Specialist Certificates in their subsidy scheme. We are pleased that our applications were subsequently approved in April 2023, allowing staff members of firms in Luohu, especially the certified public accountant (CPA) firms, to receive incentives for pursuing our qualifications. 39 HKSI Institute Annual Report 2023
