BUSINESS REVIEW CREATINGMEMBER VALUE As of 31 March 2023, the numbers of Individual Members stood at 2,482, compared to 2,449 in the previous year. Meanwhile, our Corporate Members remained steady at 135, same as the previous year. Introducing New Team Dynamics Over the past year, we have undergone a restructuring of our Membership and Market Development teams. This strategic move enables us to cultivate a more specialised focus on key areas, allowing us to serve our members and the wider community more effectively. The Membership team is dedicated to providing our members with the highest level of support and service. This includes enhancing member benefits, engaging our members through various activities, as well as managing membership applications, renewals, and other related inquiries. Meanwhile, our Market Development team focuses on outreach and recruitment initiatives, aiming to expand our membership base and increase our impact within the industry. During the reporting period, we accomplished and implemented several key achievements and initiatives. The following outline highlights these accomplishments. ESTABLISHING A VIBRANT COMMUNITY Automation of Membership Application The Online Individual Membership Application Portal was officially launched on our website on 16 March 2023, following a soft launch in November 2022. The move facilitates a more efficient member recruitment process, with online applications approved approximately 2.5 times faster, reducing the average approval time to 5 days compared to paper forms. Furthermore, the online application portal is much more accessible than the conventional method. Since the soft launch until the end of the reporting period, more than 500 online applications were received. Member Search Function on Website On 3 October 2022, we launched a new Member Search function on our website. This feature simplifies member identification and enhances the visibility of our member community. Building a Stronger Member Community: Member Ambassador 2022 We are grateful for the dedication and support of our Member Ambassadors in building a strong and vibrant member community, and we look forward to continuing to work together to achieve our shared goals. A total of 38 Member Ambassadors successfully referred 67 new Individual Members and two new Corporate Members in 2022. The Member Ambassador of the Year 2022 award went to Board Director Mr Robert Lui, who had the highest number of successful referrals.
