While under the HKSAR Government- funded Pilot Programme to Enhance Talent Training for the Asset and Wealth Management Sector (WAM Pilot Programme), we continued t o se r ve t he asse t and wea l t h management sector through the Financial Incentive Scheme (FIS) for practitioners and outreach to the undergraduates through the Summer Internship Programme (SIP). Both initiatives received good response and support the building of a strong talent pipeline for the sector. Furthermore, we jointly delivered a training programme initiated by the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC) with the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers, to recruit and train new FDRC mediators and arbitrators. Championing Excellence T o ma t c h t h e d ema n d i n t h e Mainland for our key practising qualification examination – the Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries (LE) and to extend our reach to new markets, Chengdu was added as our new examination location in April 2021 in addition to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xi’an. Thanks to the support and guidance of the Examinations Committee and wo r k i ng g r oup r ev i ewe r s , the LE Takeover Code Advisers Examinations (Paper 17) were successfully rolled out in December 2021. A three-module eCourse was also made available to better prepare candidates for the examination, all of which were launched in advance of the expected delivery date, reflecting our commitment to accelerate time to market. I n keep i ng pace w i t h i ndus t r y changes, a comprehensive update to the syllabus and study manual of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society Qualification Examination (GSQE) was also carried out, with t he r ev i sed s t udy manua l and examination with new electronic format subsequently rolled out in September 2021. Equally important, we strived to deliver better services and have fast-tracked automation of our key processes to enhance operational efficiency, including the launch of eForm portal to promote online self- service. The first eForm launched was the “Application of Statement of Result”, of which its online application surpassed offline application by the end of the reporting period. Connecting GBA In April 2021, we started to offer LE in Macau in partnership with the Macau Institute of Financial Services, to help foster sustainable development of Macau’s financial industry and as part of our long-term strategic plan to tap into the growth and collaboration opportunities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). To support our GBA initiatives, the Board approved the three-year China Strategy (2021-2023) and the setting up of the China Committee in 2022. We aim to expand service offerings to market practitioners and our members who are based in the GBA cities through our wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) in Shenzhen. We have appointed a new office head, Ms Emily He, who joined us in August 2021, to implement the planned initiatives under the guidance of China Committee. We believe that we are now in a stronger position to further enhance our relationship with key industry stakeholders and offer even more qualification programmes and training courses in the region. 學會一貫致力提供全面的學習機會， 尤其重視幫助年輕人汲取知識和經 驗。今年，大受歡迎的「獎學金計劃」 以「案例比賽」的全新面貌出現，從內 容到贊助機構提供的學習機會，都較 以前更豐富和全面。 2022 年「案例比 賽」以 ESG 為主題，讓參賽學生能籍 此深入認識這個炙手可熱的社會議 題，獲得本科生、各大學的學生事務 處、贊助機構等一致好評。 我們更獲特區政府委託，執行由政府 資助的「提升資產財富管理業人才培 訓先導計劃」（資產財富管理業先導計 劃），一方面透過「專業培訓資助計劃」 為資產財富管理業從業員提供專業培 訓，同時通過「暑期實習計劃」接觸及 協助大專學生事業發展。兩項計劃均 獲熱烈迴響，對培育業界新一代接班 人裨益良多。 我們還夥拍香港銀行學會，聯合舉辦 由金融糾紛調解中心 (FDRC) 主導的培 訓課程，為 FDRC 招募和訓練調解員 及仲裁員。 力倡卓越 鑑於內地考生對報考證券及期貨從業 員資格考試（資格考試）核心考試卷的 需求與日俱增，繼北京、上海、深 圳、武漢及西安後，學會於 2021 年 4 月將考點擴展至成都，進一步開拓內 地市場。 承蒙考試委員會及工作小組評審員鼎 力支持及指導，學會於 2021 年 12 月順 利推出資格考試卷十七「公司收購及股 份回購規例」，並提供包含三個單元的 網上課程，協助考生掌握條列內容， 輕鬆應試。以上新猷均能於目標日期 前推出，充分反映我們迅速回應市場 需求的決心。 為配合業內轉變，我們全面更新金銀 業貿易場資格考試 (GSQE) 大綱及溫 習手冊，更於 2021 年 9 月推出新版溫 習手冊及採用電腦作答的全新考試模 式。 同樣重要的是，我們致力提高服務質 素，優化快速自動化系統，以提升營 運效率。為推廣網上自助服務，我們 設立了電子服務網站，並推出首份電 子表格「考試成績證明書」。截至本報 告期末，於網上申請成績單的考生人 次已超越紙本申請。 04 Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute Annual Report 2022
