BUSINESS REVIEW 業務回顧 ENHANCING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 豐裕專業成就 To assure the quality of Hong Kong practitioners is on par with the international playing field and help them develop a competitive edge in the financial services industry, we continue to provide a comprehensive range of job and industry specific qualification examinations and relevant continuous professional training programmes for practitioners and new entrants to acquire and fulfil their industry’s competency requirements. Examination Offerings Amid fluctuation of the pandemic throughout the reporting period, there was minimal disruptions to practitioners taking our examinations except that a total of 178 in-person exami na t i on sess i ons i n Hong Kong were cancelled in February and March 2022 when the social distancing restrictions were tightened during the fifth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. N e v e r t h e l e s s , a l t e r n a t i v e arrangement of special one-on- one online examination was made available for selected Licensing Examination for Securities and F u t u r e s I n t e r me d i a r i e s ( L E ) Papers, as an option for overseas practitioners who could not travel to Hong Kong due to travel restrictions or those LE candidates who were affected by the cancellation of examinations in Hong Kong and other cities in Mainland China. 為確保本地金融服務業從業員的質素 符合國際標準，並在業內建立競爭優 勢，學會持續提供一系列針對職位及 業界規定的資格考試與專業進修課 程，協助現職或有意投身金融服務業 的人士學習相關技能，達致業界要求 的執業水平。 考試 報告期內，儘管疫情反覆，考試服務 仍能運作如常。唯獨 2022 年 2 月至 3 月 期間，第五波新冠疫情肆虐，當局實 施嚴厲社交距離措施，導致學會須取 消在香港舉行的 178 場現場考試。 對於因旅遊限制而無法來港應考的非 本地考生，或因香港及其他內地城市 取消考試而受影響的證券及期貨從業 員資格考試（資格考試）的考生，我們 特別作出替補方案，容許指定考卷 的考生選擇以「一對一」方式在網上應 考。 為應付內地主要城市的考生與日俱 增，繼北京、上海、深圳、武漢及西 安後，資格考試的考點已於 2021 年擴 展至成都。 為協助澳門同業透過考取國際認可資 格提升專業水平，促進濠江金融服務 業持續發展，於 2021 年 4 月起，我們 與澳門金融學會合作，在當地舉辦資 格考試。 除了資格考試外， 2022 年 2 月起，舉 辦 CPWP 單元一（卷二）考試的次數， 亦從每季一次增至每兩月一次，以配 合私人財富管理業從業員達致認證要 求。 In order to meet candidates’ demand in other major cities in the Mainland, C h e n g d u w a s a d d e d a s o u r examination location commencing from April 2021 in addition to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xi’an. T o r a i s e M a c a u ’ s f i n a n c i a l practitioners’ professional standards through internationally recognised qualifications to foster sustainable development of Macau’s financial industry, we partner with the Macau Institute of Financial Services to offer the LE in Macau commencing from April 2021. Apart from LE Papers, the frequency of the CPWP Module 1 Examination Paper 2 was increased from quarterly basis to bi-monthly basis since February 2022 to enable private wealth practitioners to fulfil their accreditation requirements. 32 Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute Annual Report 2022
