SECRETARIAT 秘書處 68 Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute Annual Report 2020 We care about the welfare of our people and provide flexible work arrangements for employees who may need to work-from-home or get off work on occasions to attend to personal matters. This includes other family-friendly employment practices such as shorter work week for working mothers who may have such requirements. What’s more, we implemented new initiatives such as “Dress-down Friday” and “Fresh Fruit Monday” last year, which were much welcomed by staff members. Comprehensive medical insurance plan is also provided to employees and their dependents to protect and support their health and well- being. Additional coverage such as the reimbursement of influenzas vaccine was provided to all staff and a number of enhanced policies were rolled-out during the reporting period. This covers an extended maternity and paternity leave, providing much support to staff members and their families upon the arrival of their baby. Since the early outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we put in placed preventive measures to safeguard the hygiene, health and safety of our staff. This includes providing the team with personal protective essentials such as face masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and disinfectant, as well as laptops and headsets to facilitate remote working. 我們關心員工的福祉,設有彈性上班 安排,方便需要在家工作或不時請假 處理私人事務的同事。另一項「家庭友 善措施」,是容許在職母親申請縮短每 週的工作日數。 另外,我們去年還推出「便服星期五」 及「週一水果盤」 2 項新猷,大受同事歡 迎。 學會備有完善的醫療保險,以保障員 工及其家屬健康;在報告期內,我們 更提供額外保障,資助全體員工注射 流感疫苗和優化多項政策,包括延長 分娩假及陪產假,為家中迎接新生命 來臨的同事及其家人給予更有力支 援。 自新冠肺炎首次爆發以來,我們已推 行防疫措施,藉此保障同事的健康和 安全。這包括提供口罩、手套、搓手 液及消毒液等個人防護裝備,以及在 家工作所需的筆記簿電腦和耳機。 關懷員工以外,我們亦支持社區的可 持續發展。一如以往,同事積極參與 「公益金便服日」和捐助有需要人士; 而隨著不少營運程序電子化,辦公室 的紙張用量減少,也對保護環境大有 裨益。 進修增值 學會為員工提供各類培訓,旨在提升 同事的軟、硬技能,助他們應對未來 的挑戰,盡情發揮潛能。 同事可免費修讀由學會主辦的課程及 講座,並透過「員工進修管理系統」有 條不紊地管理其學習進度和內容。在 報告期內,我們亦安排了不少外部培 訓課程,涵蓋數碼轉型、數據私隱合 規、競爭法、人力資源法律新知、傳 訊及市務,以及 Excel 的使用方法,務 求為同事提供全方位的學習機會。 Further to caring for our people, we support the sustainable development of our communities. Staff members continued to support The Community Chest’s Dress Casual Day and made donations to help those in need. The adoption of digital processes for many of our operation practices also helped to reduce paper consumption and do our bit in environmental protection. Learning and Development We support the team by providing a range of technical and soft-skills development trainings to future-proof and facilitate them to achieve their full potential. Free access is provided to staff members to join the courses and semi na r s o f f e r ed a t t he HKS I Institute, whilst enabling them to manage their development needs efficiently and systematically through the Staff Learning Management System. Other external trainings such as on digital transformation, data privacy compliance, competition law, HR legal updates, communication and marketing, and Excel training courses were also arranged during the reporting period to provide our people an all-round learning opportunity.
