Passing of the LE is a prerequisite of obtaining license(s) to conduct regulated activities in the securities and investment industry, and we hope that the special offer, which started in October 2018, will motivate students to plan their careers early and equip themselves with the required skills and qualifications. Outreach Initiatives Our range of outreach initiatives aim to inform and inspire people who are working or interested to work in the financial services industry. This includes offering tangible development programmes for students and holding ideas exchange sessions with industry stakeholders. Summer Internship Programme Under the WAM Pilot Programme, we are pleased to have companies i n t h e WAM s e c t o r o f f e r i n g internship opportunities to the undergraduates. The internship o f n o l e s s t h a n f o u r w e e k s provided an early exposure to the undergraduates on the wide spectrum of career opportunities in the WAM sector. It also provided t hem w i t h t he oppo r t un i t y t o further develop their skills and competencies. 學生會員半價報考資格考試 在指定時限內報考證券及期貨從業 員資格考試卷一、七、八及十二的 指定數目學生會員,可獲考試費半 價優惠。通過資格考試,是取得從 事證券及投資業受規管活動牌照的 先決條件。上述優惠措施於 2018 年 10 月實施,我們期望此舉有助鼓勵 學生及早規劃事業發展之路,並獲 取所需的技巧及資格,打好基礎。 外展活動 外展活動旨在為現職或有志加入金 融服務業的人士提供資訊,提升他 們對行業的熱誠,例子包括舉辦以 學生為對象的職業發展計劃,以及 籌劃與業界持份者溝通的交流會。 暑期實習計劃 暑期實習計劃是「資產財富管理業先 導計劃」的一部分。學會非常感謝資 產財富管理業機構為大學生提供實 習機會。在不短於 4 星期的實習期 裡,同學可以提早認識資產財富管 理業提供的多元化發展機會,學習 有關技巧,增強實力。 在香港營運、合資格參與計劃的金 融機構和公司,可獲資助每名實習 生月薪最多 75% 或 7,000 港元(以數 額較少者為準),為期 4 至 8 週。這項 安排旨在鼓勵不同規模和背景的僱 主增設或擴展現有的實習計劃。 在 2018 年夏季,共有 55 位同學在 20 家僱主機構完成合共逾 400 週的實 習,工作崗位涵蓋前台、中台及後 勤職能。在同學正式開始實習前, 學會設有職前簡介會,幫助他們融 入新環境。 暑期實習計劃設有「師友計劃」, 同學可接觸由僱主委派的資深從業 員,了解資產財富管理業的職業發 展路向及機會。 由於口碑載道, 2019 年夏季實習生 招募共接獲逾 5,830 宗申請,競逐由 25 家機構所提供的 98 個實習名額, 是歷年之冠。不少參與計劃的金融 機構亦視此為物色新秀的良機。 Eligible participating WAM financial institutions and corporates with business operations in Hong Kong will be paid a maximum of 75% or HK$7,000 (whichever is the lower) of the monthly honorarium for a period of four to eight weeks. Purpose of the honorarium subsidy i s t o e n c o u r a g e mo r e WAM employers of various sizes and background to start a new or expand their existing internship programme. During the summer of 2018, a total of 55 students completed more than 400 weeks of internships for roles spanning across the front, middle and back office areas with 20 employers. Prior to the students’ on-boarding, readiness briefing sessions were arranged to better prepare them for their internship journey. Under the Summer Internship Programme (SIP)’s Mentoring Programme, students were provided access to experienced practitioners appointed by their employers to understand the career direction and opportunities within the WAM industry. With excellent feedback on the programme and word-of-mouth spread amongst the undergraduates, the interns recruitment for summer 2019 attracted a record high of over 5,830 applications to compete for 98 internship positions offered by 25 employers. Many of these participating financial institutions also leveraged on the SIP to start building up its talent pipeline.
