The Institute is seeking high calibre individuals to fill the following positions:

Director, Curriculum & Examinations (Ref: D-CED)

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive, the incumbent will be part of the management team to implement the strategy and business plan of the Institute, and act as the Secretary to the Examinations Committee
  • Assume overall management responsibilities for the daily operations of the Curriculum & Examinations Department
  • Oversee the development of the curriculum in line with the most recent legal and regulatory requirements and market practices, including development of new syllabuses, development and regular updating of study manuals, enlargement of examination question bank, and managing joint publication of books with external parties
  • Ensure that examination questions are subject to quality assurance and are in line with the most recent legal and regulatory requirements and market practices
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and market practitioners locally, in Mainland China and overseas, and ensure that the standard of the examinations is comparable to international standards
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies for key regulatory messages and keep abreast of latest industry news to issue technical updates to members and other subscribers
  • Carry out ad hoc projects for the Institute including conceptualization, methodology, analysis, preparation of policy and research papers, technical editing, publication and post-project evaluations

Requirements:

  • A university degree preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or law
  • Solid knowledge of securities and futures laws and regulations
  • Minimum of 10 years' managerial experience in operations or compliance or audit function in securities, futures and investment businesses
  • Experience gained from regulatory bodies or academic/educational institutions is a plus
  • Good leadership skills and fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Credible and dependable with a high level of integrity

Finance Manager (Ref: FM-JB)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management reporting including preparation of management reports and analysis on timely basis
  • Provide timely and relevant financial information to management
  • Formulate, review and implement the institute’s policies and regulations
  • Supervise the day-to-day finance and accounting function
  • Coordinate with other departments for the finance related matters
  • Handle HR functions including recruitment, payroll calculation, MPF, leave administration, compensation & benefits, tax reporting, staff training coordination, etc.

Requirements:

  • University graduate in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources Management or related disciplines with relevant professional qualification
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience in human resources management is an advantage
  • Independent, proactive , able to work independently and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsy
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Human Resources Manager (Ref: HRM-JB)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full spectrum of human resources services including payroll management, tax reporting, recruitment and retention, compensation & benefits, staff activities and performance management etc.
  • Formulate, review and implement the Institute’s policies and procedures on human resources and operations
  • Assist management in manpower planning and development of HR strategies
  • Provide advice and counsel to line managers on staff related issues
  • In charge of HR related projects
  • Provide basic support on accounting functions including preparation of reports and analysis

Requirements:

  • University graduate in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources Management or related disciplines with relevant professional qualification
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Accounting experience in financial reporting and analysis is an advantage
  • Well versed with HK Employment Ordinance, MPF Ordinance and other related ordinances
  • Independent, proactive , able to work independently and under pressure

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of industry experience with 2 years relevant to the course delivered;
  • Good presentation skills;
  • Fluency in Putonghua is definitely an asset; and
  • Preferably with solid teaching experience.

Assistant Manager (Events and External Relations) (Ref: HKSI)

Managing events and external relations successfully requires careful planning, attention to detail and patience. If you are creative with an appetite for challenges and love to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you are the one we are looking for.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist department head in developing and implementing Institute’s Signature events
  • Prepare written specifications and logistical requirements for event programs
  • Manage daily events administration/management and provide on-site support
  • Manage Institute’s social media
  • Provide secretarial support for Events Committee
  • Prepare regular administration, operation and payment reports
  • Liaise with external organizations and act as project coordinator
  • Write reports/press releases and translate letters & documents from Chinese to English and vice versa

Requirements:

  • A university degree, preferable in Journalism, Events Management, Marketing or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in an event-focused role with an understanding of local finance market
  • Demonstrate good planning skills and experience for mid-to-senior level meetings
  • Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills as well as a good sense in marketing, communication, problem solving, time management and building interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Responsible, mature, self-motivated, able to work independently and willing to work overtime
  • Competent at managing multiple programs/events concurrently
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and adequate in Putonghua
  • Solid professional writing skills in Chinese and English for all types of communications including official letters, newsletters, press releases and emails
  • In-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and Chinese word processing software
  • Well-versed in social media engagement and promotion
  • Proficient at design work and graphic software such as Photoshop
