The Institute is seeking high calibre individuals to fill the following positions:

Director / Executive Director of Education & Development (Ref: D/ED/EDD/HKSI/022017)

Major duties and responsibilities

  • Report to Chief Executive
  • Provide leadership to the Education and Development team to ensure quality and consistent implementation of training initiatives
  • Develop business plan and execute on the initiatives that support business objectives of the Institute and build a profitable training business
  • Oversee the implementation of a strategic approach to design, develop and implement all training initiatives for financial services professionals and clients
  • Manage the design and development of learning solutions using a blended approach, including: instructor-led, e-learn, self-paced, on-the-job training tools, and other methodologies as appropriate
  • Determine the learning needs/gaps of the specific financial services industry sector and members by working with HKSI Institute’s Board, Education and Development Committee members and/or clients to ascertain the appropriate learning solutions
  • Oversee quality assurance for all deliverables and measure learning effectiveness by gathering data, developing metrics, analysing reports and conducting feedback surveys
  • Build and sustain relationships with business partners and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions are in line with business strategies

Required knowledge, skills and qualifications

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Proven competence in instructional design with expertise in the development of blended learning
  • Ability to lead the design function: plan budget; manage strategy; lead team to execute strategy
  • Ability to measure results, analyse data, develop and present data driven reports and provide solutions for continuous improvement
  • Strong business planning and forecasting skills and be able to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectations
  • Strong team and relationship building skills with proven record in building and sustaining relationships with key decision makers
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively and persuasively with individuals, small and large audiences
  • Ability to document, prepare and present executive level presentations
  • Proven strong leadership, project management, analytic, organisational and problem solving skills
  • Familiar with the financial services and securities related regulatory requirement

Education

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organisational Development, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience

  • At least 8-10 years solid experience in all phases of instructional design practice, instructional technology, measurement and evaluation procedures, learning consultancy services and/or client training
  • At least 5 years of senior management experience in learning and development in a corporate/business setting
  • Have work experience in membership organisation or NGO is preferred

Manager, Education & Development (Ref: M/EDD/HKSI/022017)

Job Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Education & Development Department (EDD), you will be an integral part of a team that provides Continuing Professional Training/Development (CPT/CPD) programmes and learning consultancy services to our clients. You will be responsible for and/or assisting the EDD Executive Director in the following key areas:

  • Working closely with other senior training managers and key stakeholders to identify, formulate and execute training plan and programmes
  • Working closely with trainers and subject matters experts on design, development and deployment of learning solutions
  • Providing learning consultancy services to clients to help them identify the learning needs, design appropriate learning solutions and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solutions
  • Preparing regular and special reports and conducting detailed analysis including business plans, budgets, proposals, research and evaluation reports
  • Leading ad hoc projects as assigned by senior management

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Required:

  • Solid experience in identifying training needs, delivering, managing and evaluating training programmes as well as providing instructional design of various types of learning solutions (e.g. classroom, elearn and/or blended learning solutions)
  • Proved strong consulting, presentation, communication, influencing, project management, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Familiar with different types of training and assessment tools for evaluating effectiveness of learning solutions
  • Fluent in verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese). Fluent in Putonghua will be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage change
  • Ability to work collaboratively, taking a leading role where required and supporting where appropriate
  • Familiar with quality assurance as well as accreditation processes and requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in SQL & HTML scripting is highly preferred

Qualification Requirement and Work Experience:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Training & Development, Human Resources, or related relevant disciplines such as Information Technology Management, Business Administrative.
  • Professional qualification in learning and development will be an advantage
  • At least Five (5) years of experience in Learning & Development, Human Capital, Organisational Development, learning consultancy business or relevant experiences, preferably in the financial services industry
  • At least Two (2) years of managerial experience in Learning & Development
  • Have track record of client consultancy services will be an advantage

Corporate Communications Manager (Ref: CCM/CEO/HKSI/022017)

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to CE office
  • Develop overall promotion and marketing strategy and plan using various media platforms to meet business objectives and to enhance stakeholder usage and engagement
  • Coordinate with business units and external parties to create and deliver marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic, such as press releases, media relations content, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, speeches, annual report, in-house publications and articles, speeches, periodic and thematic promotion campaigns to reach out to, and engage with, the professional community and targeted audience
  • Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications; perform quality control on all communications, advertising and literature to ensure they comply with the regulatory requirement
  • Lead and coordinate website content development to ensure all information is up-to-date, comprehensive, well presented and comply with the brand guidelines
  • Handle media enquiries and organise events including media interview, press conference; research media coverage and industry trends
  • Handle enquiries from social media and perform analysis on stakeholder usage and engagement
  • Provide coaching to staff of other business units

Skills/Ability and Knowledge Requirement

  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, typographical, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
  • Good command of English and Chinese languages
  • Proved strong organisational, planning and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media and able to use digital marketing tools

Qualification and Work Experience

  • Possess a recognised university degree or equivalent in languages, marketing, journalism, communications or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years of experience in marketing, prior experience as an editor or journalist is preferred
  • At least 2 years in managerial role in corporate communications
  • Proven record of creation and production of brochures, direct mailers, leaflets, promotional videos, photographs and multi-media and multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Have track record of website development and management as well as mobile application development will be an advantage

Senior Business Operations Manager (Ref: SM/BST/HKSI/022017)

Responsibilities

  • Report to Director of Finance & Operations
  • Lead and coach a team of 6-7 subordinates
  • Oversee the business operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of client services to members and participants
  • Lead the planning, coordination and deployment of membership and training events, prepare post events support evaluation and analysis
  • Review the membership and training related reports and conduct regular quality assurance review
  • Prepare and interpret budgetary and financial data, monitor expense reports, and perform cost-benefit analysis on internal programmes
  • Execute new guidelines or strategies, as well as business measures for the Institute

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Business Administration or Operations Management or equivalent
  • At least 3 years relevant experience at senior managerial level with proven record in leadership role, preferably in membership organisation or learning and development operations
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and adequate in Putonghua
  • Excellent leadership and problem solving attributes including the ability to reason swiftly and making prompt decisions without much hesitation
  • Good attention to detail and with proven record of carrying out multiple and intricate tasks
  • Responsible, mature, self-motivated, able to work independently and under tight deadline
  • Solid work experience in management and financial reporting, data analysis and quality assurance review
  • Ability to use key Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing

Membership - Senior Manager / Manager (Ref: SM-M/MOD/HKSI/012017)

Responsibilities:

  • To assist senior management to develop and implement a membership strategy for volume and income growth
  • To conduct periodic reviews of the Institute’s individual and corporate membership structures, requirements, membership benefits and service packages for conversion of existing users to members as well as enhancement of user experience
  • To review applications, perform due diligence checks, monitor the membership databases and management information system
  • To design membership recruitment, referral, renewal and retention programmes and monitor the execution process
  • To manage and coordinate various programmes, including mentoring and young talent development programmes, for membership growth, engagement, retention, loyalty and outreach
  • To work with business units and external parties to design periodic and thematic promotion campaigns to meet membership development objectives
  • To develop and produce quality communication materials, including website content, social media channels and members only areas for loyalty and engagement purposes
  • To synthesise membership data into comprehensive reports for presentation at committee and board level
  • Event and project management
  • Handle any projects being assigned by the Business Head or Department Head

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in marketing or business administration with an understanding of local financial market
  • Familiar with Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance
  • Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, writing and presentation in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience with 3 years at managerial level
  • Team player with an eye for details, able to perform multi-tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

2. At least 5 years of industry experience in investment banking, corporate banking, corporate finance, treasury;
3. At least 2 years of training experience preferably in any of the following areas:
– Corporate Finance, Merger and Acquisitions, IPO Listing or Equity Offering, Private Equity
