Thanks for your interest in the Mainland Market Readiness Index Online (MMR Index Online). This online service is provided to HKSI members and the general public to assess their readiness for the Mainland Market.
This service is launched on 22 March 2006 as one of the responses of HKSI towards the recommendations of the independent research "Corporate Hong Kong's Readiness for the Mainland Financial Markets" held in Q4 of 2005 through Lingnan University.

One of the key deliverables of the research project is the development of a "Mainland Market Readiness Index". The Index, first of its kind, comprises of four constructs: Resources Committed, Motivation, Preparation, and Mainland China Experience. A number of contributing factors for each construct were identified. Fourteen questions based on these factors were then designed to evaluate the importance of the four constructs on the Mainland readiness of a company.
The overall index derived from the research is 2.79 (1 being most ready and 5 being least ready).
