The Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI) appoints Mr Charles Lee Yeh-kwong, GBS, JP,
as the first HKSI Honorary Fellow
The HKSI Chairman Mr Edward Kwan was pleased to
induct Mr Charles Lee Yeh-kwong, GBS, JP, the
Independent Non-executive Chairman of the Hong
Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, as the
first HKSI Honorary Fellow during the
Institute¡¦s annual Autumn Dinner held on 20
October 2005.
"Mr
Lee's
outstanding contribution to the finance industry
and the community is clearly manifested through
his appointment for various government boards
and committees, including the most recent
appointment as a member to the Executive
Council. It is our great pleasure to have Mr Lee
as our first HKSI Honorary Fellow,"
Mr
Kwan said.
The HKSI's
tiered membership structure comprises of four
categories, including student, affiliate and
ordinary members, with the HKSI Honorary
Fellows/ Fellows at the apex. Ordinary members
can apply for progression to HKSI Fellows if
they meet the requirements for this prestigious
class. The first batch of HKSI Fellows was
inducted in 2003 and currently, there are 10
HKSI Fellows in total, including Mr Chan Wing-luk,
who was also formally inducted during the
occasion.
The HKSI Honorary Fellowship is intended for
individuals who have made significant
contribution to the financial community. The
nomination and approval of Honorary Fellow rests
with the Board and this distinguished membership
may be awarded to existing members or
non-members.

our respect and recognition,"
